Yeah, here we are. Let me first introduce the 2 fat guys. I am Heath, an IT manager in Alabama and the other fat guy here is Josh. We met up in college as communications students. We each tried the Communications career path, myself in Radio and Josh in PR. After a while, we decided that supporting our families was better than fighting our way up the ladder to a mediocre middle management job in 10 or 15 years and went for some more lucrative businesses. We aren't getting rich, but we are getting by.
We are both married to beautiful, wonderful women. Josh has a little girl and I have a little one on the way.
So who cares, right? Well, this is one of the first points that I'd like to make. You'll notice a few things about the descriptions I just gave you. First of all, we are not rich. We don't make great money, we regularly live paycheck to paycheck. We don't work for large corporations, though we both have worked for them in the past. We value nothing more than time with our families and friends.
So right away, we've dispelled the myth of the cold, heartless, rich, corporate shill, elitist conservatives. In our world, that just doesn't exist. We are conservative because we believe in small government, lower taxes, the original intent of the Constitution of the United States and that God is undeniably a part of our country's founding principles whether you like it or not.
We are both Christians, though we often screw up and have to ask forgiveness. We aren't perfect, not by a long shot.
We are not Republican, nor Democrat... in fact we would rather there not even be a party system and people became public servants for the right reasons: because of their character.
So there is the picture. We are just two overweight guys who have decided that we want to be vocal about the things we believe are good for, and sometimes the things that are bad for our country.
More posts to come, as we grow we'll be posting more. Feel free to drop in with comments as you want, we would be glad to answer your questions, but keep it civil. We believe in Free Speech, but we also believe in the principle of "Time, Place and Manner", which if you aren't familiar with, take a look around the web to see what you can find.
